North East film festival for children launched

Children's Film Society India (CFSI), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting along with Five Vision, the outreach partner, organized the North East Film Festival (NEFF) for Children, reaching out to privileged and underprivileged children of the Northeast India region from 20th August – 05th September, 2015. Eight children's films including some award winning movies were shown in various venues in Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Jorhat (Assam), Agartala (Tripura), Dimapur (Nagaland) and Aizawl (Mizoram).

The festival was launched at Guwahati Town Club Auditorium on August 20 screening the award winning Assamesse movie “Lukka Chhuppi”. Students from various schools participated.
